I live in Gypsum, Colorado. My niece is a freshman at Eagle Valley High School.
The school had an assembly on Thursday, Jan. 26 regarding global warming/climate change/carbon footprint. It was so over the top. My sister and I were outraged.
The school brought in this company to push liberalism and radical environmentalism. This company is Alliance for Climate Education (www.acespace.org ). My sister and I sat through this almost one hour of garbage and heard the presentation about climate change, a lack of snow in Colorado due to global warming, glaciers melting, polar bears disappearing, how cow flatulence contributes to the problem, how we all should walk or bike somewhere if less than five miles away, buy local/farmers markets produce, the importance of recycling, doomsday is approaching without taking action and more. It was very concerning.
They also had two professional X Games skiers along to look “cool” and “hip.” Yet they showed video of these two skiers being flown via helicopter to the top of mountains across the world for them to jump out and ski down. Unreal. What is the carbon footprint on that helicopter? Hypocrites.
These kids are probably now afraid or hesitant to buy material goods (garbage), drive a car (pollution) or have kids in the future (a bigger carbon footprint).
In conclusion, I just wanted to make you aware of this group infiltrating our high schools. At the end of the assembly, kids were asked to come onstage if they had an interest in starting a “climate change” group at their school. I would say two-thirds of the kids went onstage. Not good. I would say brainwashing, scare tactics, lies and peer pressure made them feel obligated to get involved onstage.
