Stanley A. “Buzz” River of Payson, Arizona passed away Dec. 28.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Nichols River, four of his children; Millie (Rudy) Alvalos, Kristy River, Stan River and Melody (Paul) Donaldson; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; his brother, Wade River, and his sister, Caralee River Miller.
Buzz worked for Kaibab Industries for 40 years and for Reid Smith trucking for 12 years. He was married to his wife, Ruby, for 58 years and spent his life as an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Jay and Mildred Ella James River, one sister, Marilee River, his son, Robert E. River, and three grandsons, Raymond Blake and Robert Blair River, and Rudy Avalos.
